Three Steps to Change Your Plan

Update DEERS
Report the change in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System first. Your plan options are based on what DEERS shows.

Make Your Change Within 90 Days
Once DEERS is updated, enroll in or change your TRICARE plan. If you live in Tampa or Atlanta, that can include the TRICARE Prime® Demo.

Pay Any Fees Due
Pay any enrollment fees or premiums due during the 90-day period. Coverage is dated back to the day of your QLE.

What if I don’t take action? If you’re still eligible for your current plan, you don’t need to do anything. If you’re retiring from active duty, make your enrollment decision within 90 days so your TRICARE coverage continues without a gap. Call 833-230-2080 and we’ll walk through it with you.
PCS and moving
Moving In or Out of Tampa or Atlanta?
The TRICARE Prime® Demo is only available in the Tampa and Atlanta areas, so a move changes what’s available to you.
Leaving the Tampa or Atlanta Area
If you PCS or move outside these markets, you’ll need to choose another TRICARE plan. Contact us within 90 days of your move and we’ll help you through the change.
